THE Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS) has commenced degree progrmames with the matriculation of 70 students to run degree programmes in Arabic and Islamic studies.

Speaking at the epoch making ceremony, the acting provost of CAILS, Dr. Bilikis Amoloye, said the college is running the degree programme in affiliation with Bayero University, Kano.

Amoloye, who stated that the degree programme introduced by the college was originally set up to award Diploma certificate was to bridge the gap created by inadequate space in the nation’s higher institutions.

She advised the newly admitted students to shun practices that could jeopardise their stay in the college.

“I am glad to inform the entire matriculants that the running of the Degree programmes in Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal studies is a golden opportunity to all and sundry particularly those who aspire for university education in Arabic and Islamic Studies, considering the multi-dimensional problems of admissions into Nigeria Universities, the financial problems of sponsorship and security challenges all over the world.

“It is obvious that the approval to run degree programmes by this college is like bringing the university education to the threshold of the desiring individuals”.
